Abandonment
3rd Dec 2010, by Noah's Ark CARES

Our founder Raymund was on his way back to the sanctuary one afternoon when he saw a shopping bag with movement just outside the main road to NANAS. His initial thought was that it might be rats, but he sensed something was amiss when he saw two black and tan grown dogs, one male and one female, lurking around not far away from there. He has never seen those two dogs before and wondered where they came from.Raymund’s curiosity got the better of him and he sent his workers to check out what was...

Tasha Tasha, What’s That On Your Nose?
3rd Dec 2010, by Second Chance

I always find it very hard to distinguish who’s who among the black coloured dog in the shed… simply because there’s rarely any obvious special mark on the body to tell. It took me 2 months to finally be able to tell Lily from Mulan >_< ~ANyone want to guess which one is Mulan and which one is Lily? >_< ~ Tasha is also another black beauty in the shed.. but i can tell her apart from the others because her fur is slightly longer..     Tasha when she i...

♥beautiful Heavenne♥

Just as we thought that we finally found a home for Heavenne . Heavenne is returned! Its no fault of adopter. They badly wanted to keep Heavenne but they received strong objections from family members. We understand that in giving a dog a home if there is no support from your immediate family members, the adoption can be very stressful.'beforeHeavenne is found to have medical problems. No wonder she is on the streets. To all pure breed owners, especially large breeds...

Tiger's Pain In The Butt
30th Nov 2010, by Zeus Communications

Warning. Some of the pictures may upset you.More often than not, animal rescue volunteers release animals back to the streets, with very heavy hearts, when the animals have fully recovered. Lives as strays or industrial animals are full of danger and uncertainties, plagued with fights against other strays for food, being set upon when they are on heat, or even constant encounters with ignorant humans. Tiger's pain in the buttTiger was initially found in the industrial site...

We Have No Choice But To Be Thick Faced >_<
30th Nov 2010, by Second Chance

We have make several appeals for donation and contribution in so many occasions that we’re pretty much thick faced by now @_@ Today we like to appeal for donation of dogs and cats food ( yes.. cat too ). Our shelter may not house any cats but Aunty Kiew dutifully feed the stray cats near her place everyday. We’re currently running low on canned food. Canned food is pretty much a privileged meal in the shed.. As we have limited amount of canned food, we mostly mixed it with rice and serve,...

Jacky Boy, A Bundle Of Energy
29th Nov 2010, by Second Chance

Jacky Boy is now around 9 months old, and is really a bundle of energy! When you take him for a walk, it is him that walked you, not the other way round.. And since most of us are no match for him, we will make sure the surrounding area has no other male dogs and let him run around. He will dash to one end of the shed, and then turn around the run to the other end.. ~Run here, run there~ ~Sniff here, Sniff there ~ ~Rest a while to hydrate himself_ ~Then it’s time to leas...

The Sign That Left Us Devastated
29th Nov 2010, by Second Chance

The moment that we all have been dreading has finally show up one day in the form of a big notice board… The place that we’re currently occupying to temporarily house the rescued strays and abandoned pets will be developed in the near future. While we’re searching up and down for new place to relocate our shelter, we hope to get furrizens here rehomed. Please, if you or somebody you know is looking for a pet, why not get them to adopt instead. The furrizens here may not be of pedigree...

Hi all, Currently our shelter is managing close to 100 dogs and puppies. Whilst we have Aunty Kiew and Uncle Wong doing a heroic job managing the shelter, and we’re also at the moment very lucky to have Richard who’s actually back to Msia for a holiday but after looking at how short-handed we are, committed his weekdays to helping Aunty Kiew and Uncle Wong at the shed. No Way Out.....
26th Nov 2010, by Zeus Communications

Anyone who walks into our regular vet would hear poor Angel howling away for her owner. You would think that after being separated for more than two weeks, Angel would have been resigned to the fact that she would have to be separated from her owner, but that is the furthest from the truth. As the days go by, her howls have become more continuous as she pines for her owner. In fact, her howls are so mournful that you can’t help but feel sorry for her and know that there isn’t very much that ...

Sweet November
26th Nov 2010, by Second Chance

*This post is dedicated to the best rescued dog ever – Mr. Sean Black* The day we picked up Sean… He was crossing a busy road when we saw him. He was wearing a long leash. I asked my boyfriend whether we could help this poor dog by removing his leash. So we quickly rushed home to get some dog kibbles to feed him. When I was trying to move closer to this black dog, oh my, have just  realized he is quite a big-boned dog. Surprisingly, he was friendly and playful. He came close and...

Marmite
23rd Nov 2010, by Noah's Ark CARES

It was a warm and sunny Saturday afternoon, great weather for our last public tour of the year. The visitors milled around to pat and feed the animals and the animals were happily enjoying all the human companionship.Over near the rabbit hutch, one volunteer was just explaining to some visitors that our infamous Max, is in fact not a pure-bred Rottweiler but a Rottweiler cross. He was a big and friendly boy for those who know him and few could tell he is in fact a cross. Due to the temperament o...
