Please Sponsor Pimghon Today... 30th Dec 2011, by Soi Dog Foundation
Pimghon is 11 years old & lives in our "Old Age" dog run.
He's a real sweety & loves affection. Pimghon arrived with a wired up jaw, & has recently had his tail amputated.
He's much happier these days & loves to be patted. However he can get a bit grumpy if another dog tries to steal his cuddles!
If you'd like to support Pimghon & help us care for him, please consider sponsoring him today at... http://www.soidog.org/en/sponsor-a-dog-or-cat/

Bunny And Indy’s Acupuncture 29th Dec 2011, by AnimalCare
Today was Indy’s 4th acupuncture and Bunny’s 3rd.
Dr Susanna is very happy with Indy’s progress. His pulse is much, much stronger today, and he is as good as it gets! So, instead of 8 treatments, four already got Indy back to health and he doesn’t need anymore treatments.
Bunny’s pulse, unfortunately, is still almost “non-existent”, which means it is very, very weak. As stout and as “German” as our StarWars walker is, Bunny is actually in poo...

Dogs Found
Found in Gelugor area. Taken in and looked after by some kind hearted
residents from the area. After a week or so when the dogs started fighting
with the resident dog, they were surrendered to the SPCA. These two dogs
are very buddy-like and show concern for each other's welfare.

Rottweiler Found
This Rottweiler was found in the toilet at the Teluk Bahang Dam. So-it's a
bit hard to figure out why and how a Rottweiler would want to willingly
stay in a toilet (?) Considered to be a rather old dog, the most
outstanding feature is his eyes-he has a very intense penetrating look.
Rather fierce, he has to be approached with caution. This male dog is in a
healthy condition-very obvious that there is an owner somewhere around.

The Cat House On The Kings 29th Dec 2011, by AnimalCare
This is a sharing by Joy E. Saga as a response to my earlier post “Just as I was saying…” (about the Selangor Government’s intention to set up a centralised pound).
Please see this: http://www.cathouseonthekings.com/index.php
We appeal to our elected authorities to consider the above.
Yes, Joy, I’ve decided to join you on your day-dreaming, too!
And folks, day-dreaming is one thing, let’s get on with our CNRM!

Good News! Alexander Has Been Adopted! 29th Dec 2011, by Second Chance
Alexandra and Alexander were rescued from the dog pound by Mrs Lai a few months ago when they were still very small. Alexandra was adopted by a kind lady but agreed to foster Alexander at that time as they were both still very young to be separated. It was two weeks ago since Alexander was returned to the shelter. And good news have arrived! He has been adopted by Margaret! They have lost their dog several months ago and was looking for a puppy to accompany them. Alexander is one lucky pup. He w...

Just As I Was Saying… 29th Dec 2011, by AnimalCare
Just when I had just written the last post about our elected authorities not doing enough for the stray animals or animals in general, Wani sent me this link below:
http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/2011/12/27 /rm5-million-centralised-state-run-pound-in-the-wo rks/
According to the report, the Selangor State government is going to start a “centralised pound”.
As I understand it, a “pound” would still be a place where un-claimed animals are still euthanised. So, that’...

SWEET MATILDA...SHE NEEDS TO FIND A MUMMY!
Matilda desperately needs someone to love & care for her. She's been at our shelter for more than 3 years now & she needs to be with a family. We don't know why she's still here, she's friendly, loves to go walkies & adores people. Lately Matilda is spending more time hiding under a bench in her run, as some of the other more dominant dogs seem to be picking on her. We coaxed her out for a cuddle yesterday & she was so happy to be in our arms. Please s...
