21st Feb 2011, by Second Chance

*PheeWWWww* It sure is hot and humid lately.. For those of us who don’t have the luxury of aircond at home, we actually prefer staying longer in office for the aircond, or hang around in shopping mall until it closed >_< But for the furrizens of the shed, they have other method of staying cool in mind… by staying high up.. And the King and Queen of the shed are none other than Bibi, Mei Mei, Adun and Tina =) Subu, however, choose to cool off by taking a nap =) If you do...

Is It JUST A Stray Pup?
20th Feb 2011, by Zeus Communications

The last thing I expected to see while shopping for fruits was a tiny black wriggly puppy amidst the crates of oranges. "Buy one more box of cherries, free one puppy!" joked one fruit seller. "You want? Take home! It is nobody's dog" said another. The cute as a button black little thing with a white spot on its head looked like it might have just turned 3 months. Bouncing around, it was oblivious of the dangers around him. Forklifts, crates, cartons, huge and heavy boxes of fruits, humans w...

Reaching Out To Stray’s Plight Through Community Project
17th Feb 2011, by Second Chance

We’re very delighted to get a visit from this group of UPM's students on 18th Nov 2010 to help out in the shed. They helped to bath the dogs, feed them and cleaned up the shelter! Thank you very much indeed! And also thanks for the donation for shampoo, old shirts and newspaper. We truly hope that there will be more organizations, uni and college that would consider extending their  community project/corporate social responsibility towards the plight of the strays.

Pebble's Pain
14th Feb 2011, by Zeus Communications

With no public bus services in this area, taxi drivers shun the place even if a booking was made. The nearest canteen is about 10km from here. This is an abandoned worksite somewhere in remote Jurong Island. I am Pebbles. This is where I was born and where I spent my puppyhood.  Life was difficult as we could hardly find food and fresh water. Every day was a struggle as my tummy was constantly rumbling and my throat always dry.  There were days that I was just too weak to walk and sear...
