Yesterday, I published a news report of a crackdown on illegal dog and goat meat trade in Australia.
On the home front, I hear there are underground dog meat restaurants in Puchong, too.
Let’s take a look at the efforts made by Soi Dog to stop the illegal dog meat trade in Thailand and learn from them. Perhaps one of our local groups can take this up here.

JIP UPDATE!.. CAN WE FIND HER A HOME IN CHICAGO? We have had a very kind offer from ISDF (International Street Dog Foundation) who have offfered to pay for Jip's flight to Chicago. We have a flight volunteer flying to Chicago on 27th Feb & Jip could go on this flight! The adopter only needs to pay for flight from Phuket to Bangkok + flight cage. MEL, SAMMY & ROLLAR NEED NEW HOMES!... These 3 adorable kittens were found with no mother when just a few weeks old. They were all very skinny, malnourished & had cat flu. Had we not found them, all 3 would surely have died. They're now fully recovered into happy, healthy playful kittens & we need to find them good homes! Hi Dr Chan,
We’ve managed to convince our housemates to allow us to keep the cats if we get a cage!
We’re getting the cage tomorrow and also the Ever Clean cat litter. We dropped by pets lovers centre and saw the 6kg one priced at RM39.9 and the 11kg one priced RM59.9.

ADORABLE "ANISE" NOW CALLS DENMARK HOME!... Remember Anise, she was a long term resident at Soi Dog who recently flew to Denmark to her new home. He was found outside the gates of a kind family in USJ3, and they took him in and gave him food and shelter for the past 40 hours and treated him really nicely!

Minpin’s Owner Found!

About an hour ago, a young man by the name of Li Siong called me and identified himself as the owner of the lost minpin. He had seen the poster I put up at the guardhouse this afternoon.
I told him to bring some identification, like birthcert or photos.
Li Siong arrived with his mother about half hour later.
There was no birthcert as Sunshine (that’s her name…coincidental?) was a gift from someone who bred minpins.

CAT HOSPITAL GETS GARDEN MAKEOVER!... Volunteers spent Monday digging, planting & beautifying our Cat Hospital. A big new garden bed was erected at the front of the Cat Hospital building & garden beds were planted at the side.
