Just as I was about to ask about Ofie, Chen sent this:
Hi Kah Yein,
There have been more Ofie sightings and it’s always from the residents living along one particular street in Damansara Utama. Connie has been going there everyday, but Ofie still refuses to turn up when called. She even tried going there at night, but also no success because it’s too dark especially along the back alleys.

There has been no updates from Choy Foong so far. We will wait for further news.

Updates On Karuna (from The Uncle)

One of our friends visited Karuna at Uncle’s house and reports that Karuna is doing very well. She still has her old-age cough, but is otherwise a happy dog.
She has her own special place in Uncle’s house, and Uncle says it is alright that she pees and poos all over since she is an “old lady”.
Our grand “old lady” has also become the “queen” in Uncle’s house, dominating the rest of the dogs.

Round #1 Of Hayden Law Repeal Attempt Goes To California Shelter Animals

The California Assembly Budget Subcommittee rejected Governor Brown’s attempt to repeal critical elements of the Hayden Law yesterday. Tens of thousands of concerned citizens had contacted their elected officials — Best Friends members alone sent over 47,000 messages — urging them to reject the appeal. The legislators got the message loud and clear.
From here, the attempted repeal goes to the State Senate Budget Subcommittee on April 11 at 2:30 p.m.

A Visit To Kelly And Jacinta’s Shelter

Our volunteer also managed to swing by Kelly and Jacinta’s shelter yesterday to hand them the two boxes of shampoo, and what a far cry it is from the earlier one.

I received an email from the Kawan today saying that they have discussed our offer to relocate as many of her (the Hoarder’s) animals as we possibly can. The Kawan urged her to think over carefully first.
Hence, there is still no reply so far.

Sharon Tan has been having sleepless nights after someone alerted her about the strays at the Sg Chua market in Kajang. She lives in Bangsar but has been going o Kajang almost daily to feed the dogs and to rescue those in need of help. The 15 boxes of dog shampoo donated by Mrs Wai have been distributed to the following rescuers/organisations:
4 boxes (96 bottles) and loose bottles for Meiji (placed in front of these bags of food).
