RESCUED PUPPY IN URGENT NEED OF HELP.

THIS morning we found this puppy by the raodside in a housing estate in Klang. he had injuries all over his body and a gaping wound under his neck. We rushed him to our panel vet and were told that the gaping wound was a raptured abcess. The puppy has also tested positive for distemper and is currently being treated at our quarantine center. THIS is Rocky and he was an accident victim. Rocky was someone's pet but his owners allowed him to roam around in the neighbourhood in Seri Kembangan. One day a car knocked him down and ran over one of his back hind legs which became beyond repair. The owner then wrapped-up the injured leg and left Rocky outside the gate. A vet, Dr Dev from Kinrara Vets, called me yesterday regarding one of his cases. This gentleman is looking after a stray cat and the cat is in need of surgery to save its life. The gentleman is disabled and cannot afford to pay, so the vet was wondering if we would be able to help.

Indy’s Urine Test Results

The clinic’s number appeared on my phone, and it was the vet with Indy’s urine test results.
Everything appears to be normal except that there is an elevated number of Leucocytes (white blood cells) in the urine. This indicates that there is probably an infection. However, the reading isn’t alarmingly high. The normal reading is 10, but Indy’s is 18.

Indy Is Back From The Vet’s

So I called in for an appointment and the vet is fully booked today, but I can walk in and wait for a gap between appointments.

COLGATE, a playful & loving girl with a shiny white coat that resembles a set of perfect, glittering teeth!
She is a great follower, staying close to your feet even if she is off leash. Very alert and makes a good watch dog.

This Is Almost Unbelievable

A most unusual and shocking case was revealed to me last night.
A caregiver who constantly applies to our fund for subsidy had brought another stray cat to the vet for neutering. The caregiver thought the cat was female and told the vet so.
This is not the regular vet but a trainee vet.
The trainee vet proceeded with the surgery which was the normal OHE for female cats and could not find the uterus or ovaries.
I don’t know how long it took before the trainee vet realised the cat was actual...
