SOI DOG MEETS SOI CAT IN FRANCE. Soi Dog volunteer Nadege adopted Eledwehn last year and has just adopted one eyed cat Phi (after whom our cat care club is named). This message from Nadege re. Phi. Our soi kids playing! :) Phi sleeps on our bed every night. Now she is the first one when it's dinner time and everything is a potential game. She really loves being with the others even if they are a bit too quiet for her :)

Baby Mayo Is Doing Fine (from Bernice And Donovan)

Here are some updates from Bernice:
Baby Mayo is doing ok. He/she is really feisty for a kitten that does not drink a lot of milk. Mayo will just suckle the bottle for a few seconds at a time and then kick and cry, so i do many small feeds. Mayo is also hard to put down to sleep, and i have to hold him/her on my chest and walk around until sleep comes. Sorta like a human child
Mayo has fleas as well and i have applied frontline. Little one is walking around at the moment….:)

Villa, a young pigeon, was found on an overhead bridge.
Alert without visible disabilities or injuries, Villa, who was seen with two other pigeons this afternoon, was nicely fed by something other then the untouched bread given by the caller. Her crop was nice and full!
The rescue team decided to leave Villa there as her family was discovered roosting right under the bridge.
Big thanks to the caller and her mother who will help continue to look out for her!

Dog's Island Shelter

The Bangkok floods have now disappeared and we hope for no reoccurrence this year.
Dog Island had been a temporary refuge for hundreds of dogs displaced.
Capturing the world's attention and becoming the symbol of all animals affected.
Prior to the floods a woman named Khun Ruen operated a shelter in this area relying on the generosity
of the community.
Unfortunately the shelter was destroyed by the floods and Khun Ruen's dogs were moved to the rescue centre at WFFT. Soi Dog has committed to ...

Vanilla A Dear Little Soul...

In Loving Memory Of Blackey (from Sha, Her Caregiver)

Blackey passed away suddenly yesterday, while undergoing treatment at the vet’s. We extend our deepest condolences to Sha and hope she will be comforted that Blackey’s suffering is now over and that she is in a better place.

These little ones from Tanglin Trust School came to the SPCA last afternoon! They made a promise to love all animals!
Little ones they may be, but they made great efforts in putting together a wonderful hand-drawn calendar which they sold in their school and raised funds for the SPCA!

Message from Tajul Arosh Hi,We found this one year old 'juvenile' Rottweiler cross wandering outside my house over the Wesak weekend. It had been wandering around for 2 days in the rain. We took him in to protect him and am now trying to locate the owner. No dog license, only a red collar. The neighborhood area is Island Park bounded by Jln Besi and Jln Tembaga. THE MAGNIFICENT 6. These lucky 6 are on their way to airport for health checks. Saturday they will all fly with volunteer Niz and friend Mario to the UK. 4 are survivors from the dog meat trade. Rescued when about to cross the Mekong River en route to Vietnam. It is not allowed to fly dogs as accompanied baggage direct to the UK so they will first go to Amsterdam and then ferry to England. Is a big saving on sending by cargo.
