CLICK HERE TO SAVE MORE DOGS LIKE DUMBO
23rd Dec 2015, by Soi Dog Foundation

Imagine being permanently tied up on a chain, in the blazing heat of tropical sunshine, with no access to shade or water. My name is Dumbo; this is what happened to me. I was chained to a pole in front of my owner’s house for months on end. Day after day, the fiery Thai sun beat down on me. I would gaze longingly at a leafy tree in the garden but it was just out of my reach – the chain that was permanently attached to me was too short to reach it. I had a horrifically infected wound around...

CLICK TO JOIN THE CARE FOR CATS CLUB
22nd Dec 2015, by Soi Dog Foundation

The man and his wife thought I was a rat at first. They were in the car on their way home from the market when I ran out in front of them. I was barely recognisable as a cat. I was a pitiful sight, in desperate need of medical treatment. They stopped the car and picked me up. My name is Elvin and I am a boy of only 5 months old. Born on the streets with nobody to care for me, it wasn’t long before life began to take its toll. I developed serious skin problems and started to lose all my fur. P...

100,000 STERILISATIONS! This week fittingly saw our longest serving vet, Dr. Su, perform the 100,000th spay/neuter prcoedure carried out by Soi Dog Foundation since it first started on the island of Phuket. In our first full year back in 2004, founders Margot, John and Gill managed to sterilise just over 1,400 dogs, mostly at their own expense, when they were the only dog catchers and nurses. Over 2,800 dogs and cats were sterilised in November alone this year, with 4 teams operating in separ...

PLEASE SPONSOR ME TO HELP WITH MY ONGOING CARE... My name is Collie and I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter because I’d been dumped by my owners and couldn’t survive on my own. I suffer from epilepsy, which causes me to have things called seizures. I am a very sweet-natured boy but I do need ongoing medical care. Did you know that the biggest way you can he...

END THE SUFFERING FOR DOGS LIKE HER
21st Dec 2015, by Soi Dog Foundation

I was at death’s door when they found me. My name is Diggory. I am only about a year old, but life on the streets has not been kind. Having never had a human to love me or a place to call home, it wasn’t long before I fell ill. Suffering from blood parasites, I gradually became weaker and more emaciated. Anaemia set in and I struggled to eat. I would not be alive today without people like you. I was found by an Animal Rescue Officer from Soi Dog in the course of his duties. He was shocked...

THE YOUNG MACAQUE WHO STUMBLED UPON A PARADISE TREE SNAKE Last week you’ve seen how a group of young macaques co-existed with a monitor lizard. This week, let’s take a look at this rare and comical footage of a young macaque who unknowingly stumbled upon a paradise tree snake while he was busy stuffing food into his cheek pouch! Despite being in shock, you will notice how both animals remained a respectable distance between one another to avoid conflict. Just like the long-tailed macaque...

The pet almost perished in the uncontrollable blaze, but thanks to the unnamed hero officer, the dog is safe. When the fire broke out, area residents feared for their own lives. The flames engulfed the property and it threatened to set other nearby residences on fire. Lulu, who probably worked as a security dog for the property, was trapped inside the complex. A...
