Brave Viennetta Recovers From Accident But Now Battling Heartworm

Hello, my name is Viennetta. If havent met me before or if you missed my original story, you can read it by visiting https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.663172343724504.1073742643.108625789179165&type=1

I first came to Soi Dog after my owner died and I was left by myself and managed to get hit by a car. Lucky for me a lovely person named Khun Pramote helped me and brought me to Soi Dog as I didnt know how to look after myself and I was being bullied by the other local dogs. I wasnt able to walk when I first arrived and I also had to have an operation to remove a lump in my uterus. It took me quite a while to recover from that surgery and then I had to practice my walking.

I was starting to feel a lot better and was walking well when things went downhill again for me. I started feeling sick and the vets discovered I had heartworm, which is very serious and can kill dogs. Lucky for me they started me on medication for this straight away and put me in the hotel run to get some good rest. I am starting to feel better once again and am hopeful that the treatment is working. It is a bit boring in the hotel run, but the vets say I need to be patient and get lots of rest.

Thank you once again to the members of the Emergency Response Team. Without your help, I dont know what would have become of me, especially if my heartworm didnt get treated. I am getting very well looked after at Soi Dog and I am hoping that maybe one day I will get a new owner and a new home. If you would like to help dogs like me who have no one to turn to, please join the emergency response team today. You can join by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html
