Naomi Makes A Full Recovery And Gets Some Very Good News

Hello, Im Naomi. If you havent met me yet or you missed my original story, you can read it here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.659972174044521.1073742626.108625789179165&type=3

I came to Soi Dog after being hit by a car, which left me unable to walk. Apart from that, I had no visible injuries – although I did have two small wounds on my back. The vets here examined me and said I had a fractured pelvis, which they were able to fix with medicine and rest. But after a few days, my belly started to swell and they discovered that it was linked to my accident those two small wounds on my back had become infected and caused my belly to fill with fluid.

The vets had to shave me (that wasnt too uncomfortable, but I really didnt know what was going on!) and then they stuck drains in me to get rid of all that fluid. Im glad they did it though, as I soon started to feel better. My wounds also started to clear up, but I kept the vets busy most days as they had to remove dead tissue from my injuries. It was pretty disgusting having dead tissue on me, but once it all healed it felt much better.

Once my wounds were fully healed and I was walking again, something great happened! I got moved into the puppy run so I had lots of new friends to play with! My fur grew back and I was a happy little girl once again. I didnt think it could get much better, but there was another surprise to come.

Khun Taso, my carer in the puppy run, has just told me that a lovely lady called Louise, who lives in Pattaya, Thailand, has adopted me. I will leave Soi Dog next week and travel to my forever home. I feel like the happiest puppy ever today. I am so excited that I am going to a home and a family of my own.

If you would also like to adopt a dog (or a cat) from Soi Dog, they tell me its pretty easy. All you need to do is visit http://www.soidog.org/en/adoptions/ to find out more and if you would like to adopt a dog or a cat, you just need to get in touch.
