Poor Jiminy Is Finally Getting The Treatment He Needs

Jiminy came to the shelter with very bad skin problems. His owners live here in Phuket but have gone away for the recent Songkran (Thai New Year) holiday. His skin has been getting progressively worse from when he was first spotted by Soi Dog and although the owners had been advised to take him to a vet, they had not done so. They have now been told that he is with us, where he will get the treatment he needs.

The vets have examined Jiminy and, by carrying out a skin scraping, determined that he is suffering from a bad case of mange, as well as a fungal infection. He has been started on the right course of treatment and will remain with us until his condition improves.

Jiminy is a lovely dog but he is a little bit scared of our vets and was a little uncooperative during treatment. We hope he will learn to trust us and that we will get him on the road to recovery pretty quickly.
