Should/When your pet goes MISSING, keep calm and dont panic.

We do want you to get your canine companion or kitty kutie back a.s.a.p., and urge you to do the following a.s.a.p.:

1. Call us (SPCA) at our 24-hour emergency hotline at 6287 5355 ext 9, AND also provide us with all the relevant details, online, using our lost/found pet form, at: http://www.spca.org.sg/services_lost_found_pets.asp

2. Contact the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) at 1800-476-1600 (24-hour hotline) to lodge a missing pet report

3. If your pet is registered with Pet-Call, do notify them at http://www.petcall.org/notifylostpet.asp

4. Put up notices around the location where your pet was last seen. Include a photo and full description of your pet name, breed, gender, size, colour and any distinguishing physical feature(s)

5. Place an advertisement (FREE of charge!) with The Straits Times Classifieds section by calling 1800-289-9988 (during office hours only). Also, check the Found column of the Straits Times Classifieds. Someone might just have found your pet and advertised it there!

6. Post notices on websites such as Lost Paws (http://www.lost-paws.org/index.php/) and Lost Pets (http://missing.sg/lostpets/)

In the meantime, its good to be prepared for the worst! To boost your chances of getting your missing pet back, please also:

(I) get your pet MICROCHIPPED AND REGISTERED, A.S.A.P., with the AVA, SPCA and/or Pet-Call!

(II) get your pet a collar with a tag and your contact numbers

(III) PET-PROOF your home so your fur-kids do not wander out in the first place!

For more information, please come by our website, at: http://www.spca.org.sg/services_lost_found_pets.asp
