DUMPED BY THE OWNER I ADORED AND THEN BRUTALLY ATTACKED, MY BODY WAS BROKEN, MY LITTLE HEART SHATTERED…

“My name is Kenna. After almost 8 years together, the owner I loved unconditionally dumped me at a temple because he no longer wanted me.

I was attacked by the temple dogs, who didn’t want me there either. Rescued by Soi Dog, I arrived at the shelter not only covered in bites and cuts, but suffering from so many other untreated health problems.

I had mange, severe anaemia and septicaemia. I was also suffering from blood parasites. My skin was matted and crusty; my eyes were oozing discharge. What hurt me the most though, was my broken heart.

In the early days at the shelter, I was paralysed with fear. I missed my owner desperately and I would try to bite the vets who were treating me.

Today, things are better. It took me some time but I have learnt that these people love me in a way my owner never did. My scars are fading and my injuries have healed. I know that one day, my heart will too.”

Every day, Soi Dog picks up dogs and cats that are sick, injured, abandoned or abused. To help these animals, and provide them with the care and treatment they need, we rely on the Soi Dog supporters that make up the Emergency Response Team.

Without them, dogs like Kenna would still be suffering at that temple, alone and in despair. She would not have made it.

Sadly, there are many more street dogs and cats that need help. Please join us in saving them by becoming a member of our Emergency Response Team today.

No amount is too small; every penny makes a difference. To make a one-time or recurring donation, please click on Kenna’s photo below.

Thank you.

By joining the Emergency Response Team, you are making sure that suffering street dogs and cats get the life-saving treatment they so urgently need.
