Imagine having a home of your own, where you have regular food and access to shelter. Your entire life to date has been lived like this; you know of nothing else and unlike street dogs, you have never had to fight to survive.

Then one day, your owner walks out on you and never comes back. We are two 6 month old girls called Red Rum and Shergar and this is our story.

Our owner walked out on us one day, leaving us and Thailand behind. He flew back to his home country and never returned. By the time we were found, we hadn’t eaten for over a week.

A kind local man found us and took us to the Soi Dog shelter. The vets told us we were in pretty good condition, considering what we had been through. We now have regular access to food and water and we are very loved by the staff here, but we do still dream of having homes of our own again one day…

There is a special group of Soi Dog supporters who made our rescue possible. They live all over the world but care very much about the dogs and cats of Thailand who have nobody to help them. Their monthly donations saved our lives. These supporters are called the Emergency Response Team.

We wish we could tell you that our story is unusual, but the fact is that there are so many more like us. There are many street dogs and cats that are sick or injured, that have been abused or, like us, abandoned. They have nobody to turn to but you. YOU are their only hope.

Please join the Emergency Response Team today so that more suffering animals like us can be rescued. Soi Dog wants to save them all but simply can’t do it without you.

All you have to do is click on our picture to get started. Can you please do that today?

Thank you.

By joining the Emergency Response Team, you are making sure that suffering street dogs and cats get the life-saving treatment they so urgently need.
