I am a 5 year old boy called Ronnie. My life on the streets has meant Ive never had an owner to care for me and had to fight for survival from a very young age. I became seriously ill recently and thought the fight was over.

I was spotted one day by a man called Khun Sanae, an Animal Rescue Officer with Soi Dog. He could see how sick I was. I was covered in ulcerated wounds and all my fur had fallen out. Sanae immediately picked me up and raced me to the shelter.

I heard the vets say I had something called demodectic mange, which is very common among street dogs in our tropical climate. I also had a bacterial skin infection and I was anaemic.

The vets have started me on medicine now I am on antibiotics for my wounds, multi-vitamins for my anaemia and special medicine to treat my fungal infection and mange.

I was scared when I first arrived here but I am slowly starting to trust and now I let the vets pat me on the head during my treatment. I quite like it.

I hear them say it is only thanks to some special Soi Dog supporters that I was saved. These people are the ones who send regular donations so that suffering street animals like me can be picked up and treated. They are the supporters who have joined the Emergency Response Team.

Can YOU please do this too? It doesnt matter where in the world you live and no amount of money is too small; you CAN make such a difference.

Please click on my picture to get started and save more dogs like me. They have nobody else to turn to.

Thank you.
