Updates On 23rd Aug 2014

He was abandoned on the streets 2 years ago, looking skinny and malnourished.

Started feeding him since then while trying to find him a good home. It’s not easy rehoming an adult dog, what’s more, he is just a normal stray.

He was attacked and wounded by other dogs a few times and required veterinary visits, though fortunately the injuries were not serious.

Early this week, I received a good news that someone is willing to adopt him and so I offered to send him personally so that I know that his new home suits him.

Bought him a new collar and leash, hoping that he will get a new life, being pampered and loved…but luck ain’t on his side.

Just when I was preparing to send him to his new home, I got a message from his adopter that she could not take him anymore as her husband just brought back another 2 dogs and they have one too many.

Well, at one hand I was disappointed but on the other, I am rather relieve she told me straight she can’t adopt rather than taking him in and he didn’t get the love and care he deserves.

So, dear Bobby is now up for adoption again…but only if adopter gets consent from all the family members and give the assurance that they can give Bobby a good home.

If you think you meet the criteria, please sms/whatsapp 016-4021781.

SPCA Seberang Perai

The SPCA Seberang Perai is a society registered in September 2005. Our primary aim is to reduce the population of stray animals or possibly a zero stray population in a humane manner. With lesser strays or no strays at all, the loving value of animals will be greatly increased and you can be sure that humans will shower more love for their pets and be responsible pet owners. The problem should not only be shouldered by our Society as the public must also understand the urgent need to control the pet population and give their whole-hearted support to all our projects for the undertaking to be successful. Then we will achieve a clean and hygienic environment for the community. As a no killing organization, we are embarking on a two-prong approach towards the problem i.e public education and sterilization of the stray animals.
