Lucy was found on the street by a man who brought her to the Soi Dog shelter. She was just a few months old and absolutely terrified.

Lucy has been frightened of people her entire life, but we don’t know why. Probably as a result of terrible trauma or abuse when she was very young, something she’s sadly never forgotten.

Despite concerted efforts to socialise Lucy, she still remains very fearful of people; she runs away if you try to approach her and retreats to her corner.

She is the most terrified dog we have at the shelter.

Lucy seems ok with most other dogs and is happy to lay with them on a sala if she’s in the mood. We’ve also seen her come to the fence for treats on rare occasions!

A dog like Lucy will most likely spend her life here. The shelter is the only home she’s ever known.
