I am a 3 year old boy called Pocket. I have lived my life to date on the streets, alone and unloved. There was no owner to take me to a vet if I got sick or injured.

I was picked up one day by Animal Rescue Officer Khun Nok, when he spotted me in the course of his duties. He saw that I had a lot of swelling around my left eye and a wound that was infected and filled with maggots.

Dr. Rain is looking after me at the Soi Dog shelter now. She cleans out my wound every day and tells me how lucky I am to have been saved by Soi Dog supporters. Their monthly donations meant that Khun Nok could pick me up that day and that I could finally get the treatment I needed.

There are many other street dogs like me – and cats too. They have nobody to care for them and many are sick or injured. Just a few dollars a week could change this desperate situation for so many.
