My name is Bamboo and it is my job to welcome you to the Soi Dog Foundation Sponsorship Month!

During the month of October, you will meet my many friends who, along with me, are desperately seeking sponsors.

I came to Soi Dog after a tourist reported that people near where I was living were bashing me with an iron rod.

I don’t know why they were so cruel to me as I never did anything wrong. As soon as I arrived at the shelter I knew I was safe.

I am such a happy boy who is full of energy. I love going for walks and playing with the other dogs in my run.

Sponsoring a dog costs just 80 cents a day (Ł0.60p or €0.75) and provides the desperately needed funding to allow Soi Dog to keep our promise to all the animals in our care of providing a safe place to live and the medical care they need and deserve.

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals. Soi Dog also has a treatment facility in Bangkok and responds to crisis situations throughout Thailand.
