Updates On 21st Oct 2014

Over the past 2 months, many volunteers have turned up to contribute their time and effort to make a difference for our animals. This past 2 months has been capped off with our recent ACRES Volunteer day which just happened this past Sunday. Here are more photos of our volunteers in action. We truly appreciate and thank our volunteers for their hard work and patience, and as a small token of appreciation, We have also separately posted a short video of Peanut, our Red-footed tortoise whose enclosure was previously revamped and had a small wading pool built. He is back in his enclosure and the video in the next post shows him enjoying some shade among fern plants and nervously investigating his new wading pool.

ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) is a pioneering Singapore-based charity and Institution of Public Character, founded by Singaporeans in 2001 with the aim of promoting animal welfare.

ACRES has six focus areas: Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Wildlife Crime Investigation, Zoo Animal Welfare, Humane Education, Community Outreach and Promoting Cruelty-Free Living.
