Private Adoption: This is not a Soi Dog Foundation dog; please email ALL QUESTIONS to sherin.peace@gmail.com

My name is Trixie. I am about 5 years old and a long-term resident at Doggie Heaven Rescue.

I was rescued from being trapped in a filthy, unmanaged and disease-ridden enclosure which I was forced to share with 60 other sick dogs. No one was around to care for us or love us. This place caused me to develop an extremely tense, anxious and untrusting character, at the time. I was also in terrible pain from severe skin problems and malnourishment.

It took 4 months of heavy medication to get rid of all the blood parasites, ticks, ear mites, mange, and high fever that riddled my body.

After all that loving care, I look so much better – some people say I look like a husky or wolf dog. Most importantly though, I’m beginning to feel comfortable with other dogs here at Doggie Heaven Rescue. Although I had my difficult moments at the start, I have learnt socialisation skills, simple commands, and how to walk on a leash.

I am now excellent on and off-leash and very athletic! I love to sniff around on the beach or in the mountains and am often praised for how obedient I am off-leash! I am now more relaxed and enjoy playing with some of the other dogs; however, I would love nothing more than to find my own home. I am extremely loving and promise to give my new owner TONS of kisses – especially if I get a tummy rub in return! I’m good with most dogs although I would prefer a home with a strong male dog, as at times I can be a bit dominant with other female dogs. I enjoy the company of most people but would love an experienced dog owner who is able to recognize when a situation is making me feel uncomfortable.

I’ve had a good time transforming into a happy girl at Doggie Heaven, but the time has now come for me to go my own way. I am hoping my perfect person will find me very soon. Perhaps that’s you?

Remember, I am not a Soi Dog Foundation dog so instead of commenting on my post, please email sherin.peace@gmail.com with ALL QUESTIONS.
