FEEDING THE STREET ANIMALS IN EXTREME HEAT

In Avsallar, Turkey the temperature is 45 degrees celcius (113 degrees Fahrenheit). It’s just awful.

Volunteer Manuela Wroblewski spends 6 hours walking in that heat, bringing food and water to hundreds of dogs and cats who light up when they see her approach.

“I thought I was passing out today as it is so, so hot,” Manuela Wroblewski said.

Each month, we need to send at least $2,000 for this mission, and we send more for spay/neuter as often as we can. We ended June with a deficit and we’re hoping things will improve in July despite the busy summer travel season.
