WILL YOU HELP DOGS LIKE ME GET THE HOSPITAL WE NEED?

My name is Chomnang and I have been through quite a lot on my short life. At only 13 weeks of age, I found myself in a bit of trouble when I got injured on the side of my body which ended up giving me a terrible and painful wound.

Thankfully a very nice local person has been feeding me and when they noticed how bad my wound was, they called Soi Dog Foundation to help me. A lovely man named Khun Thep came to pick me up. They call him an Animal Rescue Officer and his job is to help dogs and cats just like me. He was so kind and gentle with me, I knew I was in good hands and I was a very brave girl.

Once I arrived at the Soi Dog Clinic, another really nice man named Dr Win looked after me. My wound was very painful, but he was very careful not to hurt me. I had some awful things called maggots in my wound and Dr Win was so gentle removing them. They were so disgusting and I was so happy to have them taken off from me.

I’ll be honest with you, my wound has been pretty painful, but Dr Win gave me some medicine called pain killers which have helped and some other medicine called antibiotics which will stop me getting a nasty infection. I have been told that infections can sometimes kill dogs so I am very grateful to be getting these antibiotics.

Dr Win has told me that I may need several weeks of treatment and that I need to stay in hospital for a while. I am currently staying in the clinic and while I am getting the care I need, it is small and crowded and the vets say it is not big enough for all the dogs that need help.

I also hear the vets here talk about the new dog hospital that is being built at the shelter. It will do so much to help dogs like me and it will have rooms for things like x-rays, ultrasound, physiotherapy and special areas for mum’s and their puppies, dogs with infectious diseases and really sick dogs who need extra care. But more funds are needed to make this happen.

Soi Dog is so close to getting this special hospital built that will save thousands of lives just like mine. Will you please be a part of making this happen?

By doing this, you will become an Angel for Dogs like me. None of us deserve to suffer the way we do; we have done nothing wrong.

Please change the world for suffering stray dogs by making the dog hospital happen. We really need you to help us.

The dogs of Thailand desperately need your help right now. Soi Dog Foundation is unable to treat the number of neglected, abused and injured dogs in their current clinic and a new hospital is urgently needed. Only you can stop the suffering and death of Thailand’s stray dogs.
