PINOCCHIO: THE SAD STORY OF A TYPICAL STREET CAT

I am a 3 year old boy and I have lived on the streets of Thailand all my life. My name is Pinocchio. I had to learn pretty quickly how to fend for myself. There are many street cats in the same situation – we have no owner to care for us so every day is a battle for survival.

I will never forget the day I was hit by the car. It was the worst pain I have ever felt. I ended up lying in a gutter with a huge open wound on the top of my head. That was the moment I really thought I would die.

Luckily for me, I was found by a kind lady walking by who was shocked by the extent of my injury. My head wound was truly horrific and at serious risk of infection. If that lady hadn’t found me and called Soi Dog, I would have ended up dying of blood poisoning.

It was only when I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter that I heard about a group called the Care for Cats Club. These are some special Soi Dog supporters – all over the world – who have already saved thousands of cats like me. Without them, I would not be alive today.

Thanks to them funding my treatment, I am slowly getting better. The horrible wound on my head is cleaned every day and is healing well. I am on special medicine for the pain and they are giving me something called antibiotics to stop infection. None of this would be possible without people like you, who joined the Care for Cats Club.

My story and my picture may make you sad but please understand I am one of the lucky ones. Please think for a moment of the ones whose pictures you have not seen but who desperately need you.

Will you please join the Care for Cats Club to help them? Your membership will mean more sick or injured cats like me can be given the urgent medical treatment they need and that more of us can be spayed and neutered, reducing the number of unwanted kittens born on the streets.

Please do something wonderful for cats like me, who have no hope without you. Please join the Care for Cats Club today.

Your donation will go towards feeding the hungry, treating the sick, providing a safe place for those who have been mistreated, and spaying and neutering to prevent the birth of more unwanted kittens.
