NATIVE WILDLIFE RESCUE ROUNDUP: 9th OCTOBER 2015

1. (Top left) Brownie is a shrike who was found stranded in a built-up environment. Our guess is that Brownie flew into a glass panel and went into a state of shock, stranding himself. Luckily, he didnt sustain any injuries and was released immediately. We thank the caller to our Wildlife Rescue Hotline for keeping an eye on and getting help for the bird.

2. (Top right) TP is a reticulated python who was found on a traffic sign. With clearing of vegetation adjacent to the site, TP may have climbed the nearest tall structure to seek refuge. Thankfully, TP didnt end up getting run over on the roads. Thanks go to the police for alerting our rescue team.

3. (Bottom) Pearl is a young Malayan colugo who glided into a residential building and got disorientated. Pearl was another lucky animal who got stranded but didnt get injured. Pearl was released immediately as well!

Do remember to call the ACRES 24-hour Wildlife Rescue Hotline at 9783 7782 if you spot any wild animals in Singapore who may need some help.
