YOUR HELP CAN MAKE THIS A REALITY AND CHANGE THE LIVES OF RESCUED ANIMALS!

About a month ago, ACRES was featured in the news again with regards to the contamination of our rescue centre land that was caused by a contractor, and the fact that the contractor has avoided paying us any damages at all. The news can be read here:

Although this has been an ongoing challenging, we have always pushed on and have done the best we can for the animals at the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC).

Last week, we celebrated the second anniversary of the opening of the Main Sanctuary Area, where tortoises and turtles are housed in a naturalistic outdoor environment. We shared how it has made such a positive difference for many of the rescued animals in our care, as well as enhancing our volunteer and educational outreach programmes. You can find out more by watching this video clip:

Now, we want to move forward to construct a new sanctuary area for green iguanas and more turtles! Our plan is to create a naturalistic outdoor island for the green iguanas, where they can experience all of the sights and sensations that living outside has to offer. And a moat surrounding the island will provide a spacious open-air home for turtles!

We are urgently looking for contractors or landscaping companies who can help us in any way towards the construction of this sanctuary area. Please contact Kalai at kalai@acres.org.sg if you are able to help us in any way!

And we need your help to share this post to reach out to as many people as possible.

Thank you!
