The Children Take Charge (Daffodils Story)

Daffodil was unwell yesterday, but she regained her appetite by supper and that was a huge relief to all of us.

Those who have been following the Bird Family stories would know that more often that not, there will always be photos of Daffodil grooming her children and we call her the “Mother of the Year” because really, she is such an excellent mother.

Well, now that Daffodil is not exactly feeling on top of the world (she is still sneezing a little), it’s time for her children to look after her….

We’ll give Rosie the benefit of the doubt in this photo and just say that she is watching over Daffodil (and not the food!). Daffodil is eating yoghurt, by the way.

Aww…Rosie is grooming her mother.

I missed the photo of Ginger grooming Daffodil earlier in the morning. Another “aww…”!

With Aunty Heidi nearby!

Daffodil’s appetite is good today, so we would just have to wait the flu out.

There was a incident between Zurik and Ginger today. JUST when I was about to write that Mr Zurik has finally become “such a good boy” these days since there have been no war-cry fights between Zurik and Vincent anymore (really no more!) and that our patience have paid off, he had to go spoil it all by “making a comeback” today.

This morning, Jia-Wen spotted Zurik going towards Ginger (who was sitting comfortably minding his own business) and towering above him. However, good ol’ Ginger paid absolutely NO attention to the Russian cat! Ginger totally ignored the hostility – Attaboy, Ginger! That’s one of the best ways to avoid a fight. In fact, that’s also Tiger’s way!

Here’s what Tiger says: When someone (like Cow) is angry at you, that’s Cow’s problem, not yours. Don’t fuel the hostility by responding to it in any way. Let him be angry all he wants. You maintain your peace (you may close your eyes and do a cat chant, if that helps!).

Ginger is learning!
