DOG HAS PAWS CHOPPED OFF IN HORRIFIC ACT OF CRUELTY

Cola is barely a year old and was just doing what puppies do. Having managed to get out of his home and into a neighbour’s property, he found a pair of shoes and began to chew on one of them. The man who owned the shoes complained to the lady who owns Cola and she willingly paid him compensation for the damage caused. Not satisfied with this, the man later entered the lady’s property and attacked Cola, severing both lower legs with a sword.

He also threatened the lady that he would kill her other two dogs if she complained. The lady did complain, and contacted Soi Dog Foundation’s law and suppression unit. Police have investigated, and the man will be prosecuted under the Animal Welfare Law, with the verdict and sentence due to be announced on June 7th.

Soi Dog staff have taken Cola to a specialist hospital we partner with in Bangkok. Assuming Cola survives, he will be assessed for suitability for having prosthetic legs made. All costs will be covered by Soi Dog Foundation. Once treatment is completed we will discuss with the owner whether she feels Cola will be safe and if she is able to care for Cola.

If she is unable to do so, we will transfer Cola to our shelter in Phuket, where he will be available for adoption.

This is just an example of Soi Dog’s Emergency Response Team in action and is only possible because of YOU. To join the team and help more animals like Cola, please visit http://ert.soidog.org/
