Lissa Itchel

3 year ago, Lissa was still studying in Form 4. Ann Lesley White, our SSPCA volunteer conversed with Lissa, and fetch Lissa to our shelter at 7th Mile area. Lissa wanted to adopt Lulu on her first sight, even though she knew of Lulus health condition. As a student, Lissa had not much pocket money, but Ann helped Lissa in her adoption fees.

All Lissa wanted was a best friend, and Lulu just caught her attention, albeit of Lulus health condition. Lulu had a happy time staying with Lissa. According to Lissa, Lulu was a smart puppy, and slept with Lissa on her bed every night. (Lucky Lulu!) Lulu would be Lissas morning alarm clock; barking in front of Lissas face to wake her up to get ready for school.

Lulu had good appetite, and she was blessed with lots of food with no time limit. Lulu grew fluffy, and was very playful. She loved to play hide-and-seek with Lissas brother. It was fun to see how confused Lulu would be, at times, to find Lissas brother hiding place. Lulu would portray a guiltys face whenever she did something wrong, and that made Lissa loved Lulus cuteness even more.

One day, Lissa decided to bring Lulu to visit her grandparents village. Lulu had a fabulous time of her life, fit in well with Lissa grandfathers pack of 15 hunting dogs. Lulu enjoyed swimming in the river.

A few months later, Lulu was found lying helplessly in front of Lissas bedrooms door. She could not live any longer and died. It was devastating to Lissas family. Lissa felt bad for not being able to be with Lulu for longer time, but at least she had a home. Lulu is always dearly missed by Lissa and her family. With the departure of Lulu, it didnt deter Lissa to adopt other dogs.

Lissa got herself another dog, Coco, from a friend. Coco is also a smart dog, as Lissa claimed. Generous to share her food with every other dogs, brave and clean. Lissa hopes that when she could afford her own home, she would adopt more dogs.
