Hi there. My name is Erusmo. I am a boy of around 5 years of age. My life story is one of survival. When I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter here in Phuket, Thailand I was covered in ticks and fleas. And due to a suspected bout of distemper at some point in my life, I was left with a twitch of my mouth and a slightly wobbly walk. I have adapted well to my condition and the doctors said that the symptoms are not likely to progress in the future.

I am a lovebug and am one of the best cuddlers here at the shelter. I like to rub my head into people when they pat me to get the most out of the attention. Getting my silky coat brushed is also high up on my list of favourite things to do. I walk well on the lead, although I am not as fast as I used to be. But perhaps you like to take it slowly as well?

When I get the chance I like to eat grass on my walks and soak up the sun. The people here say that I have a lovely nature and a calm presence.

While I cope at Soi Dog, I believe that I deserve to be in a place within a kind family. I think the other dogs here will do just fine without me and as I get older, I know the sanctuary of a loving home will suit me well. I am ready for that now. I do hope that I don’t have to spend the rest of my years living at the shelter.

I have never had a human to call my own and I dream of finding someone who will love me unconditionally. I would thrive in a calm environment, where we can enjoy gentle walks as we explore new places together. I would be happy as an only dog but I also wouldn�t mind sharing a home with a gentle other dog, who respects personal space.
