I HAVE HOPE BECAUSE OF YOU

I was living on the streets, struggling to survive. Because Im a timid girl, other street dogs picked on me. Last year I was viciously attacked by other dogs and got a life-threatening neck injury. Do you remember me? My name is Nontasak.

When I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter, the wound on my neck was infested with maggots. I was scared, confused, and in terrible pain. After lots of medical care, I am recovering very nicely. My wound has completely healed, the fur has grown back, and I am slowly learning to trust humans. They say you can see the change in my eyes: now I have HOPE.

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals.
