DOG BUTCHER ARRESTED, 2 PUPPY ORPHANS SAVED

The dog butcher was found preparing to cut up the body of a dog he had just killed. Reportedly at least 2 other dogs had been slaughtered and their meat sold that day. One victim was a mother to 2 small puppies. Both puppies were rescued alive. Can you imagine the sheer terror they felt as they saw their mother killed before their eyes?

The offender was arrested on 17 April in Nakornpanom in northeastern Thailand. He was caught by local police after a tip-off to Watchdog Thailand, an animal cruelty investigation unit funded by Soi Dog Foundation. He reportedly killed dogs almost every day.

Soi Dog Foundation is fighting to stamp out the illegal dog meat trade in Thailand once and for all. But we need your help to catch more dog killers. Go to http://bit.ly/save_dogs_from_slaughter to donate now.

Great strides have been made towards ending the dog meat trade in Thailand; however, there are still occasional reports—like this one—of dog killing and dog meat selling in the north and northeastern parts of Thailand. We want you to be part of the team that finds and arrests the last remaining dog butchers in Thailand. Help fund our undercover investigations today: http://bit.ly/save_dogs_from_slaughter

This arrest is a victory for innocent dogs as well as for people in Thailand and around the world who are shocked and saddened by the dog meat trade. The dog butcher will be sentenced in May under the Prevention of Animal Cruelty and Provision of Animal Welfare Act.

The puppy orphans are now safe and getting food, shelter, and medical care. Can you provide food and care to those rescued from the cruel dog meat trade? Make a pledge to leave no dog left behind. Donate now: http://bit.ly/save_dogs_from_slaughter
