You’ve almost certainly heard of the astonishing migration across the Serengeti with hundreds of thousands of animals crossing the plains. But have you ever heard of the even bigger Mekong migration? Every year, billions of fish migrate between the Tonle Sap lake and the Mekong river – the biggest migration in the world!

And the Mekong also boasts other extraordinary migratory fish, like the Giant Catfish in the photo. It can grow to be as big as a bear! But it is in real danger because dams have blocked its path – like many other species of migratory fish.

Tomorrow is #WorldFishMigrationDay, find out more about these amazing fish and how we can protect them by removing old dams and letting fish swim free again https://www.worldfishmigrationday.com
