#DYK that after weapons and drugs, wildlife trafficking is the third largest illegal trade in the world? The UK Government in cooperation with the Luang Prabang Film Festival and the Wildlife Conservation Society is proud to announce the launch of #IWTMEKONG – a short film competition on illegal wildlife trade.

We are inviting filmmakers from (or residing in) the 5 Mekong countries Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam to submit short films of up to 6 minutes.

Filmmakers stand to win prizes of up to $5000 USD for the best films and winners of the competition will be invited to present their films at the London Conference on Illegal Wildlife Trade in October this year and at the Luang Prabang Film Festival in December 2018.

Find all details about the competition and prizes as well as background information and a contact list for resources and experts on illegal wildlife trade in Laos and the Mekong region at http://www.lpfilmfest.org/content/IWTMekong.html
