Save Homeless Animals With Your Facebook / Blog!

What Do I Need To Do?

It's really simple, just follow the steps below to place the code into your website:
  1. Determine how many rows and columns of animals you wish to display at your website by selecting the Rows and Columns menu at the PetFinder.my Code Window below
  2. Click on Preview to see how the display will look like in your website
  3. Once you are satisfied with the display, click on Highlight Code then press CTRL-C to copy it
  4. Open your webpage in a text / HTML editor, paste the code into a suitable location, and make the page live. You can also check out our sections below for specific instructions on inserting the code into Blogger, Twitter or Facebook.
  5. Congratulations, your PetFinder.my box is now active, and you can begin saving lives right away! Don't forget to tell us about your website!

Want To Promote A Specific Pet?

Do you wish to showcase a specific animal in PetFinder.my at your website, or feature a cute pet just for fun? Here's how you can do it!
  1. Go to our Listings and browse to that Pet's profile page
  2. Click on the Share section at the top of the page and select which social network/service
  3. If you have a website/blog, you can also scroll right to the bottom - Promotional section
  4. Click on the "Promote This Pet Only" radio button
  5. Copy and paste the corresponding code into your website!



We have specifically created detailed instructions for you if you are using Blogger / Blogspot, Twitter or Facebook. Please refer to the specific sections below.

Blogger.com / Blogspot.com
  1. Login to your Blogger account
  2. Click on the DESIGN Tab at the top
  3. Go to the Page Elements page
  4. At the sample layout, click on "Add a Gadget". A popup window will appear.
  5. Select "HTML/JavaScript" and click on the blue + icon
  6. Copy the code from the PetFinder.my Code Window and paste it at the Content area. You need not specify anything at the Title field. Click on "SAVE".
  7. Note that you can adjust the number of rows and columns of animals to display at the PetFinder.my Code Window. A display with 1 column and multiple rows is recommended.
  8. Click on View Blog and you'll instantly see a dynamic PetFinder.my box appear at your sidebar (or any position you specified) showing animals for adoption.

Twitter.com
  1. Although you can't use the dynamic code on Twitter, you can still easily feature individual pet profiles
  2. Browse the Pet Listings and click into a specific pet profile
  3. Click on the "Twitter" link at the Share section, at the top of the page. That's all!


Facebook.com

For Facebook, you need not insert the PetFinder.my HTML code into your pages. All you need to do is add the PetFinder.my Application to your account. Please follow the instructions below.
  1. Login to your Facebook account
  2. Go to this page: http://apps.facebook.com/mypetfinder/?action=install. Or, you can type "PetFinder.my application" at Facebook's left search bar, then click into the corresponding result.
  3. At confirmation page, click "Allow" to proceed.
  4. Go to Account -> Application Settings page (or just click on this link http://www.facebook.com/editapps.php directly).
  5. Locate the PetFinder.my entry and click on Edit Settings
  6. At the Settings popup box, click on the Profile tab. At the Box and Tab columns, click Add (the status would automatically change from Available to Added). Change the Privacy settings to Everyone. Click Okay to finalize changes.
  7. A PetFinder.my Tab would automatically be added to your Profile page, and a dynamic PetFinder.my box would be featured at the "Boxes" tab.
  8. Go to the "Boxes" tab, then click on the Edit icon at the upper right corner of the PetFinder.my section and select "Move To Wall Tab".
  9. PetFinder.my's animals would now be featured at the left side of your Wall, as well as on a PetFinder.my Tab. The dynamic profile box randomly displays a pet seeking adoption, updated each hour.
