About Myself
On behalf of SPCA Melaka. The SPCA phone no. is not working
SPCA Melaka is located in Semabok, along the road to Muar. To get there,
Go from Semabok, along the road to Muar. At the first traffic light, make a U-Turn and keep immediately keep left. Turn left at the first junction (less than 50m). SPCA Melaka is located at the end of that small road
ADDRESS: Lot 1115, Lorong Kepten Nekmat, Km 5, Jalan Semabok, Semabok, 75150 Melaka, Malaysia.
NOTE: SPCA MELAKA DOES NOT OFFER DELIVERY SERVICES! If you want to view the dog, you have to go to SPCA in MELAKA. If you are not in Melaka and are looking for a dog, please try your local animal shelter.
PPS: Removed the phone number as no one is usually in the office to pick it up. Just email me with any questions. If you want to adopt a pet its best to go there and directly see the animal and pick it up yourself. I WON'T KNOW OFFHAND WHICH ANIMALS ARE THERE AS I DO NOT WORK THERE AND DO NOT GO EVERY DAY so just look at the latest date on the pet and take a chance
***IMPORTANT*** ***SPCA MELAKA POLICY***
UNSPAYED PUPPIES WILL NOT BE GIVEN TO ANYONE WITHOUT A LOCAL (MELAKA) ADDRESS. Outstation people may adopt young dogs which have already been spayed (>6 months). Animals will not be given out to students unless accompanied by their parents (with a local address)

Yes I couldnt agree with you more. The people's mentality has got to change. I do hope to make a visit to your SPCA sometime soon.

To go to Semabok, say you are at the Big Mosque coming from Batu Berendam direction. Straight ahead will be the town. TURN LEFT go all the way past a few traffic lights until you see a big bridge. thats Semabok area. Go up and down the bridge, until you reach a traffic light. There will be an Esso on your right. SPCA junction is before that ESSO.
MAKE A U-TURN and IMMEDIATELY keep left, 15-20m from the traffic light is a small junction. Thats the SPCA Junction. TURN LEFT into it. SPCA will be at the end

I missed the second half of your comment. Seems like more than half the pedigrees were picked up by SPCA in bad condition (abandoned). Same goes for the mongrels, but 1 of them was abandoned by its cruel owner cuz 'it bit her'. Those people then adopted a different puppy as they dumped that one ...
The other pups were brought in by people who picked them off the streets

There are a lot more dogs at SPCA Melaka. If you look you will see a bunch of mongrel pups and a few mongrel dogs. A whole lot of mongrel dogs are kept in a compound too but I cant put up the photo since they are all standing near the door looking at me, so the photo is crowded. The reason it seems like theres a lot of nice breeds is cuz they receive the most attention.

HI SPCA Melacca, I found that the Mallacca SPCA mostly fill with nice breed dogs. Is this normal thing to have so many such lovely dogs? Are these dogs brought in by their owner or was picked up by the Mallacca Multicounsel? Just my curious mind why so many lovely dogs are place at there.

I honestly can't guarantee or book any dog/puppy for outstation people. Best thing is if you want a dog, check in your local SPCA :) If you want a specific dog from SPCAMelaka, you have to come down during a weekend and pick it up yourself. What I can do is if you call email me and tell me when you will be coming down, I will try to check the SPCA 1-2 days beforehand (no promises, depends on work too) to confirm if the dog is still there. You're out of luck if the dog gets adopted between the time I check and the time you arrive :P This goes for all the SPCAMelaka dogs |
