About The Pet
Blackey was an abandoned cat, left behind when the owner moved away. She would sit at the ground looking at the front door and windows waiting for her humans to come back to get her. But it didn't happen. I am now looking after Blackey and her kitten.
Blackey has sporotrichosis and hernia. At first, I have not been able to find any vet in Kedah or Perlis who is willing to treat Blackey. All said to have her put down. I was confirming to transfer to Klang Valley for her treatment. After obstacles, I have finally found a vet who is willing to do it locally. She was admitted yesterday at Animal Centre & Surgery in Pekan Pumpong, Alor Setar. The vet will charge approx. RM600 per month. Blackey is expected to be treated for 2-3 months. I'm planning to let her stay in the clinic for a month or two until I am confident enough to bring her back under my care.
As we know the sporo treatment is not cheap but living with this pain for the rest of her life is not an option. She's been through a lot, it's time for me to pay back. I am trying hard to pull my money out to help her but I cannot afford to bear her total cost. Therefore, I am appealing from various sources for donation to help Blackey's treatment. I am also appealing for AnimalCare for medical assistance. I can't wait until she gets well and return to the neighbourhood. Please help her get a second chance to life. She is such a good cat and momma.
