ManekiNeko   May 28th 2012 at 12:04PM Firdaus, if you were to ask Nitha politely, she could explain her reasons for such stringent requirements. She cares deeply for the welfare of her rescued cats and has had some heart-breaking experiences with adoptions gone wrong.

misspatty   May 28th 2012 at 6:37PM Guys, just ignore that @firdaus, he is one of those that only know to complain and 'talk big'. If u ever read what he posted to others u'll get what i mean. If he really is a pet lover, he wont have any problem with the t&c.

FatinAzlan   May 29th 2012 at 7:48AM you just can't demand such a high requirements for other people to adopt your cat and what are the reasons of letting go the cats? you don't have time? I worked 12 hours a day (mostly 10 hours) still have time for my two kittens, 44 hamsters, 3 guinea pigs and 4 hedgehogs, plus homegrown mealworms and millipedes also incubating 4 bird eggs so what are the excuses? you should just say 'Need a good home for Neko, Niko' because most of us here are not so rich and can't fulfill and satisfy such requirements A street cat is more than happy if you give him/her a warm bed and enough food for the rest of her life and for your records, cats are more comfortable in a small area such as apartment because cats are territory-bound animals. They aren't like dogs who needs spaces to run around. So, the demand on how big of the house is so ridiculous IMHO

@misspatty where did i complained and talk big the guy is caging his/her pet in such a poor conditioned cage it is rusty and packed you can judge him by yourself, you're a grown girl are you not

Hahaha people i just found out that this firdaus guy who complain here and there and wanna buy a rm5000, is cat just plain breeder. I found that he ask someone to adopt her kitten just because its free and no strict requirements. Hahaha so much of pet lover is it? And by the way, i am a grown up girl, thats y i wont be lied by people like u.

Olive_Yen   May 29th 2012 at 10:45AM Well Firdaus, I don't see that the requirements are that big. Is normal that all rescuer wants their rescued animal to a better home. Some have even bigger requirements but they are still able to adopt and fulfill it and both sides are happy. I don't see anything wrong with her requirements. And not only the reason to let go because they have no time. There are many more reason to let go. Nitha is doing her part to give homeless animals a better home so that they can deserve a chance and be loved.

misspatty   May 29th 2012 at 1:59PM Becareful people, that firdaus whatever guy will get your number from your profiles to call or text u demanding for apology and if u wont he'll start to ask u where u live and want to meet up. If he ever done it to anyone else pls make a report at any police station nearby. I've asked the nearby police station and they consider it as harassment, and i can make an official police report for it. I will make it if he ever contact me again. Pls be careful people.

I mean how is it a street cat after youve homed it?? (unless offcourse one lives on the road, or maybe a zoo like you do) 3) "and what are the reasons of letting go the cats?"... Cmon dude, its called RESCUING. You pick up helpless animals off of streets etc, and you HOME them. Hence the requirement of the APARTMENT too, cuz people become careless and cats tend to JUMP... -_-

I live in an apartment and I currently have three happy cats so personally I think since living in high rise buildings is a norm nowadays that rule can be relaxed.. When I adopted one of my cats from the owner who was migrating I didn't fulfil that one requirement too but fortunately she saw it through that I could give her beloved cat a good home & tlc.. None of my cats had ever been in danger either..

Vee20   May 31st 2012 at 1:36PM crystalynn & other concerned people here: these profiles (of my previous rescues) i think, will help shed light on why i've come to set such a strict rule for apartment dwellers: rascal: http://www.petfinder.my/pets/12713/ rayneka: http://www.petfinder.my/pets/25131/ (died just over a month ago). i will in exceptional cases, as crystalynn mentioned, "relax" the rule and agree to apartments...but only if potential adopters portray a good history...and the ability to give a SAFE and healthy life for the cats in an apartment environment. it's a matter of trust from here. if i don't feel good about things, even in the slightest...i won't bend my rules. p.s: this isn't for my own benefit, i just don't want any of my rescues to go through the same again. i hope this is agreeable to everyone :) thank you sincerely, for understanding.
