[For Adoption] Sonje the German Shepherd-Sheltie (18.5kg) is approximately 1 year's old. She was abandoned in a cage after her former owner moved out. Her neighbor had been feeding her and then gave her away. She was diagnosed with Heartworm and mild hip dysplasia.
After 4 months of treatment, she has recovered from heartworm. She has been spayed on March 12. We have been feeding her BARF, turmeric golden paste, and glucosamine. Her mild dysplasia does not deter her movement in any way. She can run, jump, stand on 2 hind legs like usual. She is not in any pain. But, please read up on managing hip dysplasia. This means that as she grows much older, there may be a need for physiotherapy if not managed well.
She is friendly, affectionate, plays well with humans and dogs. She is very high energy and is destructive when bored. She is not toilet trained yet. She is not a watch dog as she is very friendly. She's not a guard dog at all. If you are looking for a guard dog, you are reading the wrong profile. She licks everyone she sees, even strangers.
If you are keen to adopt her, please send us a message to describe: 1. Your experience handling dog (if any) 2. Is your family supportive of the adoption? 3. How much time can you spend with her daily? 4. Are you financially stable and committed to care for her? 5. Can you describe the environment and lifestyle she will have if she goes to you? Do you agree to house visit? 6. Are you agreeable to send us updates (photos) every now and then after adoption?
Thank you for choosing to adopt. Adoption fee of RM 250 to cover for spaying while the remaining RM 1,750 medical expenses is sponsored by us.
Those who do not answer the questions will be ignored. Those who ask if she is still available without providing any information will be ignored as well.
