There have been scammers and conmen trying to defraud people at PetFinder.my and other pet-related websites. We would like to bring this to your attention so that you are well aware of their fraudulent activities.
These scammers generally play on your greed by offering you pedigree pets at very attractive adoption fees, or even free. They would find ways to convince you and get you interested, then come up with various excuses to solicit and extort money from you, such as for the shipping of the pets which are overseas, problems at the customs, urgent medical fees and more.
The Rule of Thumb is to NEVER make any payments before personally meeting up with the owner and pet. Never let your greed overrule your rational thinking.
We have also received reports of stolen pets being posted up at our website for adoption/sale. If you suspect the genuineness of a particular listed pet, please contact us to investigate further.
We are showcasing a number of scam profiles here to better educate our members on these unscrupulous scammers. If you come across any suspicious profiles at PetFinder.my, please report to us immediately.
