Im Happy With Magic Litter (Day Two)

If you remember, I was given a pack of Magic Litter to try two days ago.

I couldn’t imagine not being able to scoop used litter so I thought I would never be able to like it, but after two days, I actually do!

Based on my experience, this is how it works: The cat pees onto it, it becomes wet and it does stick to the bottom of the box. If you notice it, you can scoop it up to throw, but if you dont and you leave it there for a while (a few hours), it gets fermented and it is completely dry again.

After two days, it is still completely dry and there is no odour as far as I can detect.

But then again, you must remember my nose is de-sensitized after having coped with Cow’s spraying and all, so I asked a friend to help me sniff! She said she detected a wee bit of smell (that’s on close range) but it was just a wee bit and hardly noticeable. Now, she has a very keen sense of smell.

But the acid test is, do all my cats use it?

I’ve seen Tabs, Bunny, Tiger and Cleo use it, and I’ve also seen Pole and Indy step into it, but I’m not sure if they have used it. But so far, no one has poo-ed in it. They prefer the Ever Clean for poo-ing, I don’t know why!

The salesperson advised me to mix it with my old litter, ie. one-third first, then two-thirds, etc. I did that with one litter box and all the cats use that, even for poo-ing.

In case you are interested to try, you could order online and it will be delivered to your doorstep if your order exceeds RM30 and you live in the Klang Valley.

The online price is only RM15.90 for a 10litre pack.

That’s really very affordable, especially if you have many litter boxes.

The best part is, it is environs-friendly, biodegradable and organic. The fermentation is caused by the probiotics added to the wood flakes. There is no clumping.

And one packet is incredibly light-weight, too, since it is just wood flakes.
