47 Lucky Gerbils Adopted!

Ref:http://myanimalcare.org/2012/03/27/would-you-like-to-adopt-some-gerbils-and-save-them-from-being-euthanised-dr-veeranoot-nissapatorn/

We published the above post on 27th March:

Dr Veeranoot Nissapatorn is a medical doctor lecturing in one of our local universities. Her research does not involve the use of animals, but she noticed the laboratories use gerbils, and it is their practice to euthanise the older ones (5-6 months). The good doctor is trying to save these gerbils from that fatal needle, so she would like to ask if anyone might want to adopt them as short-term pets. The lifespan of gerbils is about 2-5 years (according to the internet).

If you would like to adopt these gerbils as pets, please write to Dr Veeranoot atnissapat@gmail.comto arrange for the adoption.

So far, many gerbils have been adopted and yesterday, another 47 were adopted and saved from euthanasia! The adoption is ongoing as these are lab animals. There will always be many for adoption.

Dear Sis Chan,

I am very please to inform you that another 47 gerbils have been
adopted by a very beautiful and kind soul…Putri Bulan. Our meeting
was arranged on 1st November, 2012 at 10.30 am. Putri came to our
Department with full spirit and accompanied by her husband and a young
son. I am surprise but very happy to know that Putri has a passion for
gerbils and she also has her own gerbil group. With this, I attach
photos for your update.

At the moment, we still have many more gerbils for adoption. If anyone
interested, then kindly contact me directly through this e-mail. I was
given another week more for this adoption drive.

Thank you.
Sukhi Hotu!
