LeChat, From Monge (a New Catfood In Town!)

Monge has produced another range of canned catfood, at a more affordable price – it’s called LeChat (which means “The Cat” in French. How aptly named!)

It’s a tuna-based catfood. Contains 44% tuna, with another meat and has gravy.

Compared with Monge, Monge has more meat while LeChat has less but contains gravy (that’s the yummy part, according to my cats!). In both products, there is no carrageenan.Monge is meat in water while LeChat is meat in gravy (broth).

Bunny & Friends gave it a “10″ score. That’s a “10″ on 4 days already.

The Tuna for Hairball has carrot.

If your cat is as fussy as mine, you can mash the already soft carrot with a spoon and they will eat everything up as the gravy makes it so palatable.

By the way, I like the can because it has no grooves inside and on the rim (this minimises wastage).

The Patio Family also polished everything clean.

The gelling agent used is starch.

The product should be available in local petstores soon. It is marketed by Avant Pet. And the version available in Malaysia is the same as the one that is marketed in Korea (hence, it has Korean and Chinese writing).

Avant Pet has very graciously allowed us to sell this product (by donation). But we cannot do small orders as it is not cost-effective for us to deliver. However, if you’d like to order in bulk from us and if you are located in the Klang Valley where Avant Pet makes its deliveries, the purchase can be arranged. The same goes for Monge. Please write in to chankahyein@gmail.com if you are interested. All proceeds go to our Fund for the animals.

We thank Avant Pet very much for their CSR efforts to help us help more animals.

Our disclaimer holds. Please consult your veterinarian before introducing any new food to your cats.
