Puffy Comes To Soi Dog For Treatment On Maggot Infested Wounds

Puffy was recently found in a terrible state by animal rescue officer Khun Thep while he was out on patrol. We don’t know how Puffy got her wounds but they were in a horrible state when she was found. She had wounds on her chest and legs and the wound on her chest was infected with maggots.

Puffy was put under an anaesthetic while her wounds were cleaned and the maggots removed. She was given pain relief, antibiotics and a powder was applied to help kill any remaining maggots. Puffy is not out of danger yet as her wounds are in danger of becoming seriously infected and the vets will be keeping a very close eye on her.

Only you can help with Puffy’s treatment and the treatment of dogs like her by joining the Emergency Response Team. To find out more and to join, please visit https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html
