From Hurt To Hope: Bashos Happy Story

Hi there, Im Basho! If you havent met me or you missed the story of how I came to Soi Dog, you can read all about it here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.683103748398030.1073742760.108625789179165&type=3

I came to the shelter from a local temple, where Id been dumped with an infected wound on my neck. Animal Rescue Officer Khun Thep heard about me from some people living nearby and came to collect me and take me to Soi Dog. I was so glad he did that because there were other dogs at the temple and I was scared of them.

When I got to the shelter, Dr Eed examined me and put me on antibiotics to treat the infection. During my first few days here, I wasnt eating that much but Im enjoying my food now! The vets kept a very close eye on me, cleaning my wound every day. (Ill hold my paws up here and tell you I wasnt always very co-operative when they did this.)

Im glad the vets took such good care of me though, because my wound started to get better and then I was told I was being moved to the hotel run! I was so happy to hear this because it meant somebody had read my story here on Facebook and decided to adopt me. That person is a lovely lady named Jenny, who lives in the UK. In a few months, I will make the long journey from Thailand to my new forever home.

None of this would have happened for me were it not for the members of the Emergency Response Team. No matter where in the world you are, you too can become a member of this life-saving group and help other animals like me. Please visit https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html to join them today.
