Updates On 21st Sep 2015

Dear all,

In light of the rabies outbreak in Penang, Kedah and Perlis, PAWS will now be administering rabies vaccines for all animals surrendered to us. To cover the costs of these vaccinations, we will be imposing an additional charge of RM25 for every animal surrendered to us starting today (21st September 2015).

To clarify, our updated surrender fees are as below:-

Adult dog: RM75 (RM50 surrender + RM25 rabies vaccine)

Puppy: RM105 (RM80 surrender + RM25 rabies vaccine)

Adult cat: RM55 (RM30 surrender + RM25 rabies vaccine)

Kitten: RM75 (RM50 surrender + RM 25 rabies vaccine)

In addition to this, we will also be vaccinating all of the dogs and cats currently in our shelter from rabies. We currently have about 500 animals in total, which comes up to a total cost of RM12,000 for their vaccinations. If you would like to contribute to this, our bank details are as follows:-

Account number: (CIMB) 8002179515

Account holder: PAWS Animal Welfare Society

For donors, please scan the bank-in receipt to pawshelter@gmail.com for us to issue you an official receipt.

Thank you very much for your support. We will provide constant updates on the progress of our collections on this Facebook page.

PAWS

PAWS was founded in 1987 by a small group of local and expatriate volunteers. Through their generosity and imagination, PAWS was constructed on a patch of land owned by Sime Plantations on the Subang Airport Road. This distinct group of sheds and a courtyard still stands today and currently homes around 400 cats and dogs.

The staff that work at PAWS include one veterinary surgeon and a number of full-time personnel. The organisation depends entirely on the generosity of the public through donations or proceeds from charitable events organized and run by volunteers.
