I WAS RESCUED FROM THE BRUTAL DOG MEAT TRADE.
PLEASE ADOPT ME
My name is Bahrain and a kind sponsor has contributed to my travel costs. Please EMAIL all questions to alex@soidog.org
My story begins when I was grabbed from the street and crushed into a cage with many other dogs, then driven away on a truck to cross the Thai border. I could not understand why I was in this cage and why these people were doing this to me. I was terrified and so were all the other dogs crushed into the cages.
I could hear the younger dogs crying with fear as we travelled through the night, the older dogs unable to cope with the stress and heat during the day. Many died as we drove towards the border I could not help them and I was beginning to give up too.
I awoke to the rattling of cages and the truck stopping abruptly. All the cages were taken off and we were released and put into a big truck and taken to a shelter in northern Thailand. This is where I live now with over 1,300 other rescued dogs.
I am a lovely girl about 5 years old and really want a home of my own. I was very shy when I first came to the shelter but as the volunteers have spent time with me, I am becoming more confident and friendly. My tail wags when I see people and I love to be made a fuss of.. I have a beautiful, furry face and everyone here tells me how pretty I am.. A big cuddly teddy bear is what they call me. I have had enough of living at the shelter though and am looking for a family and home to call my own.
I have had all the necessary blood-work to enable me to travel to the EU and can enter EU countries from the 23rd October onwards. For Canada and America, there is no waiting time at all!
Soi Dog want to help me find a forever home so if you have a place in your heart to adopt me please EMAIL alex@soidog.org
