PYTHON GETS STUCK ON AN NAIL!

NAILZ, THE RETICULATED PYTHON FINALLY FREE

Python stuck in a subsoil pipe? Not something new to us, and there are many reasons why this could happen – but every case has it’s own challenges. We were alerted to a similar case in a condo at Holland area. On the first evening, the efforts by our rescue team and condo’s staff to slowly pull the snake out failed as we couldn’t move the snake out.

On the second day, “Nailz” as we named the python was still stuck and we finally managed to free Nailz after breaking the concrete.

Our heartfelt thanks to Mr Rashid and the condo management for being patient and allowing us to break through – to free Nailz. Nailz was stuck onto a metal nail in the subsoil pipe and suffered injuries to the skin. We hope Nailz will survive the ordeal, and be ready for release.

Watch our video of Shrapnel, who suffered a similar situation at Hougang :

Reticulated pythons are one of the commonly sighted snakes in Singapore, feeding mainly on rodents. If you sight one in distress, give us a call. If sighted in nature areas, drains and canals, please let them be.
