Punish Animal Cruelty Offences In Thailand To The Full Extent Of The Law!
Thailand introduced its first Animal Welfare Bill in December 2014, making acts of animal cruelty a criminal offence punishable by up to 2 years’ imprisonment and/or a 40,000 THB fine.
Despite this, sentencing to date has been overly lenient and acts of horrific animal cruelty continue to be perpetrated, no doubt due in part to the lack of any kind of effective deterrent.
Please join with Thai animal lovers in signing this petition to Thailand’s Minister of Justice urging for animal cruelty offences to be punished to the full extent of the law.
