Remember Lucky? Lucky was abandoned at our shelter last Sunday. A guy read our post and came to shelter to ‘bail’ Lucky out.

According to the adopter, Lucky was a stray dog roaming around his office area. Lucky is under medical treatment with one of reknown veterinar in Kuching.

The act of abandoning was performed by one of adopter’s co-workers, and he regretted that his co-worker decided to act alone to abandone Lucky at our shelter. The adopter brought Lucky to his home and decided to nurture Lucky back to health.

Please treat animal kindly. For the Chinese, it is the Year of Dog in a few weeks time. We hope that your pet dogs shall be treated kind and just like your family members. There are so many pros than cons of keeping dogs at home.

Abandoned CaseEvery year before Chinese New Year, everyone starts to spring clean their houses, and that including their pet dogs. It is sad to see this dog (Lucky, as the owner written its name), was tied to our shelter’s fence. Lucky looked fierce and scare, because he was placed at an unknown place by his owner. Lucky is sick, and hence the owner decided to dispose him too. We just couldn’t understand, why some owners choose to send their sick dogs away rather nursing them back to health? It is really sad that as we move forward, we tend to loose our humanity and compassion to animals.Remember, when you take in any pet, it is your responsibility to take good care of your pet; in good time or bad, in good health or sick. If you’re not able to provide the necessities, please don’t keep any pets at all.
